Green Hills Alone is the songwriting vehicle for Portland-homed, Northern California-born Chris Miller. Five years ago, Miller released a ‘self titled’ LP through Portland based music collective Sleepy Volcano. The songs explored metaphysical themes of death and transformation, cloaked in the stylistic inspirations of punk and indie-rock bedroom recordings. In 2019, Miller prepares to release a followup album that continues this exploration of transformation. Alongside Miller in this creative process is Mark Robertson, instrumental in 2014’s Green Hills Alone release and actively producing 2019’s effort. Live and in the studio, Miller and Robertson are joined by fellow Portland artist, Weezy Ford.
