THE VELODROME

Portland’s Longest Running Indie Improv Show!

Every Thursday night at 7pm, three improv teams perform their unique and fun formats! This show is for any team looking for more stage time, whether it’s their first show ever or their 1,000th show, we aim to see a variety of styles, formats, and sensibilities.

Velodrome bookings open every 3 months via an open form for 2 weeks. Teams are sent offers within a week of the form closing. We have a limited number of slots and will always do our best to offer as many opportunities as possible in an equitable and transparent process.

What we prioritize and consider when booking:

  • Representation of marginalized groups, per our mission

  • Teams that are rehearsing regularly (with or without a couch)

  • Performers who aren't receiving other Kickstand opportunities

  • Teams with varying formats or styles.

  • Cultivating teams formed from Kickstand development opportunities (ie former Harold and class teams) that are looking to continue in their own capacity

  • Overall curation for the evening (different size teams, styles, etc)

Questions can be sent to booking@kickstandcomedy.org
